Client: Scope: Big Bend Community College 2000 sq ft Completed simultaneously with STEM Learning Center
Project Description: EXTENDED LEARNING ZONES Encouraging Peer Engagement is the found-ation behind this renovation and addition. Through design we assisted the College in making the space more comfortable for students to gather, work in groups and seek out help in different subject matters. PEER GROUPS The College has found that retention rates increase when students are able to connect and form peer study groups. Creating space at the core of campus that has all resources (wifi, computers, plenty of plug-ins, printers) readily available is aimed at increasing the time students spend working in small groups and on campus.
